We had a much later start this morning after having to shift our accommodation last night and not getting to bed until 3am because of bed bugs I met one of my oldest friends on Holy Island and we explored Lindesfarne Priory, the castle, beaches and village for the afternoon clocking up 5 miles of views and banter. The weather was absolutely amazing it was like Autumn. The island was so busy, probably too busy for my liking or maybe I was just a bit grumpy today. We never got to St Cuthbert’s cave or our planned trig bagging and the castle was shut, maybe next time. I’ve been to Lindesfarne three times and there is something that always pulls me back to this stunning corner of Northumberland.
