Yesterday was one of those walks that never went to plan 🤦‍♀️

I’d made the decision to do the route in reverse because of the fog and shorter daylight and thought we would be returning via street lights and taking in the historic buildings of Dornoch, nope it was not I must have looked at another walk and thought this was it 😆

It took much longer than expected to head out to Embo and the pier, watching the tide coming in along the coast in the eerie fog. We finally reached the pier and made the decision to go back the way we had come, a three mile trudge with no headtorch back through the golf course back to Dornoch. We finished our day watching the torch lit precision to the local bonfire and a fantastic display of fireworks and of course a chippy! 8.5 foggy miles….and I’ll need to come back and do this walk again in the daylight!
