It’s been a while since I’ve had a solo adventure, I had pencilled in Carrbridge this weekend before the weather warning to try and capture some lovely Autumnal colours of the old packhorse bridge. The weather has been phenomenally wet, the river here was absolutely torrent, gushing over the viewing platform and scarily high. I did the shortened version of the Carrbridge and Docharn circuit below, clocking up 4 miles, even the plantation paths were like trenches and running rivers. I had planned to continue on and do the Castle Roy circuit at Nethy Bridge, but I was sodden inside and out! I called it a day and stopped for cake and a cuppa at the Carrbridge Kitchen before heading home!
