Today has been a day of complete weather changes, we finished off our East Neuk adventures with a wander round a blustery and wet Crail with cake and hot chocolate in the Crail Harbour Gallery Tea Room and bagged a very muddy Trigpoint at Easter Balrymonth. Our next destination was Midhope Castle aka ‘Lallybroch’ in the TV series Outlander this totally ticked my happy box 😆

With it being October a visit to the most haunted town in Scotland, Culross had to be ticked off too. By this point it was big blue skies and a cracking sunset across the Firth of Forth and we followed the Walk Highlands route to do the Culross Heritage walk taking in the old pier, west church ruins, abbey, palace and medieval cobbled streets. This walk was a delight after three days of stormy weather!

We finally arrived in Falkirk and finished our amazing day with a wander round the illuminated Kelpies.
