Stopping off at the usual tourist spots Eilean Donan Castle, the Skye Bridge and the Mackenzie & Collie sculpture at Sligachan. We finally reached the Fairy Pools and headed out in heavy rain and wind. There were some really over friendly finches in the carpark looking for food and chasing people
I have never done this week in nice weather,
it is still magical and beautiful even on a horrible day, each pool tinted with aqua marine blues and clear beneath the Black Cuillins. The new path and bridges have really improved the area and made for good going on the return. We got back to the car drenched and stopped for pizza at Pizza Mia, Kyle a total find on a day like yesterday! As I drove back past the castle I was delighted to see it lit up!
Driving further along the road there was an injured deer right in the centre of the road, it was causing cars to swerve and stop, I reported it to emergency services and gave them a grid reference but was told they couldn’t locate it using an OS grid reference as they only use What3Words
