Stromness to Warbeth Beach

Today was a mad rush after a power cut last night so unable to check the ferries until this morning, it was brought forward due to the adverse weather. I was still determined to get to Stromness and walk out to the Beach at Warberth before heading back to the Mainland. 6 miles of 50mph gusts made for arduous going at points unable to stand and getting bits of ebb being blown off the surf like cotton wool into our faces. However those views out to Graemsay, Hoy and Scapa Flow were absolutely breathtaking even in a hoolie. Though I say walking is my therapy, I think I need therapy after my walk after that bloody wind. I literally just made it to the ferry and was the last car to board.
