We finished our road trip with a wander round Kilchurn Castle what a stunning backdrop against Beinn a’ Chochuill & Beinn Eunaich with moody grey skies and the sound of drums echoing across Loch Awe as if a battalion were marching to battle. I also wanted the view of the castle from the opposite side of the loch and to find the source of the drums so we drove round and went down to the shores where the drumming band Clanadonia were recording against the back drop of the castle! It certainly added to the stoic atmosphere.
