Today was a day of mini adventures to bag Trigpoints 92-96, thinking it would be a nice, easy afternoon, it was not 🙄🤣

📍– Polfaden Trigpoint – a nice easy Trig to bag beside the A96, parked up in a lay-by and across the field.

📍– Meikle Kildrummie Trigpoint – we could see this one from the road, a march through waste deep undergrowth to avoid the horses, the electric fence and a few gates to climb. We got soaked and came out covered in sticky willies, nettle stings to my knees, elbows and hives round my ankles 🤣

📍– Washingwells Trigpoint – This has a cracking view of the ruins of Inshcoch Castle, I had also heard lovely stories about the local farmer and his friendliness towards Trigpoint baggers, we met him and he sent us on our way. Easy enough to find but involved crawling under an electric fence, over a gate, through bushes and a Trigpoint under a pylon, at this point James was questioning my parenting 😆

📍– Crowhall Trigpoint – This was visible from the road in a field of corn, I lifted the wrought iron gate to the field and it literally fell over flat and nearly took me with it, disturbing the big dogs in the cottage opposite. Their owner came out to quieten them, James and I were literally holding the gate up with our fronts, trying to not draw any more attention to the situation as the guy chatted to us, eventually he left and we managed to haul it back into position. I carried on to the trig feeling like Wreck-It-Ralph! We bagged the Trig and I couldn’t get out of that field fast enough! 4 Trigs, 4 miles, lots of sticky willies and a dodgy gate!
