Today I was a tourist at home and took a Jacobite Cruise on Loch Ness out to Urquhart Castle from the Clansmen Hotel. A cracking day to wander around the castle with James, it was horrendously busy and I found it a little too much. I met some lovely fellow Bristolians who made my day with chat of back home. To tie in with the location we did the Old Coffin Road walk, near Abriachan which also starts from the Clansmen, it’s very steep and a proper lung buster from the offset with cracking views from the viewpoint across to Dores and Loch Dochfour.
