Two shorter walks today whilst on my travels to Stornoway, I stopped for some forest bathing at the Lael Forest Garden a lovely woodland walk with over 200 species of trees
and much welcome shade in today’s heat. My next wee adventure was the Knockan Crag Trail a geologist’s delight bringing to life the geology of the Moine Thrust, a steep climb in blistering heat with bog cotton bobbing in the breeze and stunning views of Assynt and its summits. 4 miles, sunburn and a ferry trip home with a pod of porpoises
